With these cookies, I hope that you will invite more people to "drop in" unexpectedly for a visit more often. I hope you will build a community to share what you love, whether it be a book club, a sporting event, or just a night at home with the fam.

Since I can remember, baking has been a staple in my life and part of my favourite memories. My grandmas Joan and Nadine and nanny Doris always had a plate of fresh baked goods on the off chance someone dropped in for a visit. Every time I visited, making (and sampling) the cookie dough was a top requested activity to do with them as a kid.

As I've grown up, the kitchen has become so much more than just a place to eat. Baking and cooking have become activities that bring me joy and create a place for me to share the things I love with my favourite people, to tell stories, and create memories with the ones I love.
